This Leopards in Gir National Park are kept in seclusion because they have attacked human beings and hence become habitual of attacking on human. They were kept in a arena of big wall so that they could not jump out from that arena. They were given food by national park authority as they are having nothing to hunt inside arena.
According to 2011 census, the population of leopards in the sanctuary – spread over 1,412 sq km in Junagadh – touched the 450 mark, almost at par with the Asiatic lions.
